The team consists of AWS-CWI, CSWIP certified welding inspectors with years of field experience in welding with leading fabrication companies and third party inspection companies.

Welding Processes/Material & Joints

Fillet-Weld-Joint.Interface Technical Inspection can write and provide all documents relevant to welding procedure specification (WPS) as per International Welding standards.

As specialist experts to the welding industry, Interface Technical Inspection can assist and advise you on all your welding requirements, welding standards and specifications as given below:

Material:
Mild / Low alloy steels
Aluminum alloys
Stainless steels
Nickel alloys

Joint Design:
Fillet Weld Joint
Butt Weld Joint
Branch joints/welds in pipe, plate and sheet materials.

Welding Process:
Shielded Metal Arc (SMAW)/ Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
Metal Active / Metal Inert Gas (MIG/MAG)
Flux cored arc welding (FCAW) Brazing and Soldering

Producing a welding procedure involves:

  • PWPS: Preliminary Welding Procedure Specification: Before procedure approval.
  • WPS: Welding Procedure Specification: After procedure approval
  • WPQR: Welding Procedure Approval Record : Welding procedure test record

Job Scope: Planning the tasks, collecting the data, writing a procedure for use of  trial, making a test weld, evaluating the results, approving the procedure and preparing the documentation.

Important International Welding Procedure qualification Standards

  • ASME Sec IX ( Boiler and pressure vessel code)
  • AWS D1.1(Structural Welding of steels)
  • AWS D1.2 (structural welding of aluminium)
  • EN ISO 15614 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials, welding procedure test.
    • Part 1: Arc and gas welding of steels and arc welding of nickel and nickel alloys.
    • Part 2: Arc welding of aluminium and its alloys

Welding Visual Inspection (On site service)

Welding-Visual-Inspection
Welder qualification is a process, which examines Welder’s capability to create welds of acceptable quality following an established Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).

Interface Technical Inspection offer formal welder qualification testing to a wide range of International Standards for all fusion welding processes on a wide range of materials.

After welding qualification test, Interface Technical Inspection have facility to carry out Visual inspection, NDT (Radiography Test, Ultrasonic inspection, magnetic particle inspection, and liquid penetrant inspection) and DT (Bend test, Fracture test) as per Welder qualification standard requirements.

Once the Welder is qualified, Interface Technical Inspection will provide Welder certificate and Welder card for each welder. Also Interface Technical Inspection offers continuity record verification and renewal service.
